The following menus are examples ONLY. All of our menus are custom designed around your personal taste & preferences. Feel free to look over the service styles below, to help you decide which best fits the feel of your event. Set up a meeting with Executive Chef Scott Reade Mauritzen and he will work with you to develop your perfect menu, featuring local & seasonal ingredients for your wedding or family event!



A plated meal is very simply a meal that is plated in the kitchen and brought to your table at the event. The meal can range from 3 to 8 courses depending on what type of event. Every dish is carefully cooked and displayed on each plate in the kitchen and then brought to your table by your wait staff. This service style is somewhat formal and sophisticated. It is often seen at wedding receptions or other events where the hosts are looking for an elegant style of serving. This type of event usually needs more space for plating courses and there is an additional cost for rentals.


Family Style

Family style catering offers the opportunity for each table to have the experience of an intimate family dinner. A variety of food is brought to each table on platters, and the guests then serve themselves. It’s just like a family get together because each of the guests passes the food to one another, and everyone can take as much or as little as they would like. This is a great way to help your guests interact and create a sense of community, as they share a meal together.


French Service

French service is a traditional service where trays of food like the family style are served to you. Our waiters walk to each table with a serving tray, and serve each guest each course individually. This service is very suggestive of an old-fashioned, ritzy form of fine dining. It is much more formal than the family style, which can often be more fitting to upscale events. This type of service may also require more space.

Pricing Information:

All menus are designed to have each guest receive one of each hors d’oeuvre, a salad, side dish, and one of each meat. All proposals will specify the exact portion sizes for each menu item to make sure you have the appropriate quantity for your guests.

Chevelle Catering must be able to cook and assemble the final product on-site by our Professional Chefs to achieve our quality of standards for our food. All of our food is prepped in our licensed commercial kitchen, but the final product must be finished onsite to insure the freshness of our product. It is our policy to provide all of the food, service, beverages, and event management at events catered by Chevelle Catering & Events.

We will require appropriate cooking equipment to accomplish our goal and unique to each event, as well as, wait staff, kitchen rentals, chefs, and event management. All additional rentals are not included in the catering price; however, we will create an estimate of rentals for your event.
